Our mission is to design a tailor-made care concept based on needs and in collaboration with the local initiators. We believe it is important that the local population can understand the intentions of our vision, the care concept and the approach itself, be able to carry it out, maintain it and repeat it.
The project that the Wacalea Foundation is currently committed to is the Nepalese organization KOSHISH. KOSHISH is a pioneer in Nepal in the field of mental health and persons with psychosocial problems. This video explains why and what this organization does.

Since 2012, Wacalea has been working well with Binod Kumar. Binod was the inspiration for the first project of Wacalea, building a new children’s home on their own land. Thanks to Binod’s hard work and the support of Wacalea, the children’s home is now stable and Binod can focus on other parts, such as building a watersupply, providing higher education for his (orphan) children and awareness programs for training and trafficking in Western Nepal. Wacalea wants to support him because he inspires and acts from 1 foundation: helping the people of Nepal.
The “new” children’s home is located in an environment where there is no water supply.
As a project we have chosen an existing local initiative that aims to rebuild buildings that were destroyed by the earthquakes of 2015. This together with the local population of Nepal and with the help of (for Nepal) new techniques that make homes more earthquake resistant. With the help of plastic bottles, houses are built, which also create a better environment.
In 2015, Nepal is hit by two serious earthquakes. Houses and buildings are destroyed and the number of victims is gigantic. With the help of our local partner we have provided emergency aid to the victims of the earthquake.
